IT and Telecom: Data Center as a Service

PSC DC10 covers data center capability delivered as a service contract: offsite data center facilities using third-party resources, potentially as part of an infrastructure-as-a-service offering. The manual names colocation services, data center as a service, and managed service provider data centers explicitly, and treats term-licensed software bundled into those arrangements as part of the service. FY2025 obligations were $954 million.

Integrators in front of facility operators

Computer Systems Design Services (541512) took $519 million, more than half the code. 541511 follows at $94 million, then Computing Infrastructure Providers and Data Processing (518210) at $90 million, Other Computer Related Services (541519) at $80 million, and 334111, Electronic Computer Manufacturing, at $67 million. The colocation and hosting registration is third, behind two integrator codes. Agencies are largely buying data center capacity through a systems integrator that arranges it, not directly from the facility operator.

The PSC is the government's choice and the NAICS code is the vendor's, carried in from its registration.
