How to Create a Scout Card on Outrider

Overview

Scout Cards are structured summaries that capture your research on a technology company. They can be shared with colleagues and attached to procurement records.

Step 1: Open the Company Profile

Search for or browse to the company you want to document. Open their full profile page.

Step 2: Create a Scout Card

Click Create Scout Card in the upper-right of the company profile. A side panel will open with a pre-populated template.

Step 3: Complete the Card Fields

Fill in the evaluation fields:

• Relevance score: How well the company matches your need (1–5)
• Technology summary: Brief description of their relevant capabilities
• Contract vehicle: Any existing vehicles that could expedite award
• Follow-up action: Next step — demo request, RFI response, etc.
• Notes: Any additional context for your team

Step 4: Save and Share

Click Save Scout Card. The card is stored under your profile and can be shared with team members using the share link or exported to PDF for procurement files.
