How to Generate a Community Report on Outrider

Step-by-step instructions for generating Community Reports that aggregate technology landscape data for a specific mission area or topic.

Overview

Community Reports give government agents a synthesized view of the technology ecosystem around a specific challenge area — covering company density, readiness levels, and contracting activity.

Step 1: Navigate to Reports

From your dashboard, click Reports > Community Report. You can also generate a report directly from any Topic page by clicking Generate Report.

Step 2: Define the Report Scope

Choose your parameters:

  • Topic or keyword: The technology area to analyze
  • Time range: Limit results to recent activity if needed
  • Company filters: Set-aside status, size, geography
  • TRL/MRL thresholds: Filter by technology maturity

Step 3: Generate the Report

Click Generate. Reports typically take 15–30 seconds to compile depending on scope. You'll see a progress indicator.

Step 4: Review the Report

The report includes:

  • Executive summary of the technology landscape
  • Company count and diversity metrics
  • Top-matched companies with readiness scores
  • Recommended next steps for procurement

Step 5: Export or Share

Download the report as a PDF or share a view-only link with colleagues. Reports are saved in your account under My Reports.
