How to Request Assistance for Topics
How government agents can request hands-on support from the Outrider team to find technology solutions for challenging or urgent procurement needs.

When a standard topic search doesn't surface the right solutions, government agents can request direct assistance from Outrider's team of procurement specialists.
When to Request Assistance
Consider requesting assistance when:
- You need solutions within a tight deadline
- The technology requirement is highly specialized or classified-adjacent
- You want help structuring an RFI or sources-sought notice
- You need an independent market survey for justification purposes
Step 1: Open a Topic
Navigate to the relevant Topic in Explore Topics, or create a new one describing your need.
Step 2: Request Assistance
Click Request Assistance on the topic detail page. A form will appear asking for:
- Your timeline and urgency
- Specific deliverable you need (market survey, candidate list, RFI draft, etc.)
- Any incumbent or known vendors to exclude
- Points of contact on your team
Step 3: Receive a Response
An Outrider specialist will contact you within one business day to confirm scope and begin work. Deliverables are typically returned within 3–5 business days.
Step 4: Review and Act
The specialist's findings are delivered directly in the platform under your topic. All supporting data is attached for record-keeping.
